Mixed Youth and Women's

Sailors will be put through their paces to progressively build up their sailing and foiling skills to competently step onboard an AC40 and compete on a global stage.

Waszps

Initial training plan to utilise the Waszps through group training sessions where coaching will be provided.

Outside the planned training sessions, sailors will be expected to do their own training

69F

Next stage of training is utilising the 2x 69F’s to increase foiling skills, team work, communication and boat maintenance, in the start of September through to the end of November

Simulator

Once we have established basic foiling, team work, communication skills and understanding the physics of foiling, simulator sessions will take part in Belfast during November/December

Alternative ways to enter the Artemis Academy

If an applicant has not been selected through the normal process, there will be alternative ways to qualify to the team:

1 - Notable achievements, hard work ethics will be picked up by our scouts who are located throughout Sweden and internationally

2 - Waszp regatta using our 8 boats, open to sailors who are not on the team/unsuccessful from previous rounds. The winner will be invited to train with the Artemis Academy

Artemis Academy for the future

The Artemis Academy will continue after the race teams are selected in late 2024 to go to Barcelona.

The Artemis Academy will undergo a new selection process with the primary goal of developing Swedish foiling talent from the next generation of sailors.

As Artemis Academy sailors are selected to the race teams, the Academy will continue to recruit new talent and train and develop those sailors for future competitions.
